September Weekend Gleanings

AFAC has been invited to go gleaning (harvesting) at two farms on three Saturday’s in September. Please sign up via the online calendar or email volunteer4afac@afac.org for more details.

JK Community Farm, Purcellville, VA: Saturday, September 19th – 10 Volunteers Needed

JK Farm welcomes AFAC volunteers to help plant and harvest crops throughout the summer and fall  which will help supply fresh, organic, locally-grown vegetables and fruits to AFAC clients.

Marker-Miller Orchards, Winchester, VA: Saturday, September 12th & 26th – 20 Volunteers Needed

Through Society of St. Andrew’s gleaning Network, AFAC volunteers glean apples at Marker-Miller Orchard every year for AFAC families.
