Rhonda Gilliam Clothes Bank closing

After 53 years in Arlington, the Ronda Gilliam Clothing Bank is closing Saturday, June 17, before the building at 716 S Glebe RD is demolished. They are looking for volunteers to help clear their storeroom and remove hundreds of bags of donated clothing. The clothes will be re-gifted to Miriam’s Kitchen, Martha’s Table, and Central Union Mission.

Starting at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 17, we’ll form a ‘clothes line’ to pass the bags up the stairs and out to trucks. Sturdy people needed to make this go quickly. Remaining coat racks and closet units may be available for your selection, too.

If you are interested in helping out, please line up your friends and family and join in, Saturday afternoon, June 17, starting at 1:30 p.m., 716 S Glebe RD, look for the yellow signs in the parking lot.
