AFAC’s Annual Golf Tournament Moving to Arlington’s Army Navy Country Club

May 14, 2019

ARLINGTON, VA – The Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) is pleased to announce that the 5th Annual AFAC Golf Tournament, sponsored by Credibility International, is moving to Arlington’s Army Navy Country Club and will be held on Monday, September 16 with a shotgun start at 12:30 pm. Sponsorships and foursomes are now available for purchase on our website at www.afac.org/golf. Proceeds from this event go towards providing Arlington neighbors in need with weekly supplemental groceries.

Participating golfers will enjoy a hot lunch & dinner; open bar before, after, and while you play; access to a silent auction filled with great items; a $50 gift card to spend at the course’s Mobile Pro Shop; and much more. The previous four golf tournaments were held at the Westfields Golf Club in Clifton, VA. A move to Army Navy Country Club’s exclusive golf course brings the AFAC Golf Tournament to the heart of Arlington, less than two miles away from AFAC’s main facility.

For a second year in a row, Credibility International will be the tournament’s title sponsor. “We have enjoyed the opportunity to work with our neighbors to support an event that both raises money for AFAC’s worthy cause provides for a great day of fellowship at the tournament,” says Tim Hart, CEO of Credibility International. “We hope that our support will help grow this event to be an even more important income source for AFAC to supply groceries to our neighbors in need.”

The Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) currently serves over 2,400 families each week at nineteen distribution sites throughout Arlington County. Families receive fresh and healthy supplemental groceries, which frees up tightly stretched funds for child and health care, rent, and other financial demands.
