Opportunity for YOUTH – Create a flyer!

Create a flyer to help celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and encourage neighbors and friends to donate non-perishable food to AFAC!

DETAILS/ NEEDS:

  • You must be in grades K-12
  • Go to AFAC website (with adult supervision)
  • Art supplies
  • Creativity!

Step 1: Your flyer should include something relevant (a picture or words) about the Martin Luther King, Jr., the words “AFAC” or a picture of one of AFAC’s logos and the words “Food Drive” and/or drawings of food.  We encourage your creative and artistic talents! Our website https://afac.org/food-drive/flyers/ has templates where you can find out more information, our logo, and our list of recommended food items. The flyer chosen will be available for volunteers to download to use for their MLK Day food drive!

Step 2:  Submit your artwork to volunteer4afac@afac.org no later than December 27. You can send us the artwork in the mail if that is easier at 2708 S. Nelson Street, attention Volunteer Department. Be sure to include your name, contact information and what grade you are in. A panel of judges will examine the art work and we will select those that are most inspirational and have the best use of healthy (non-perishable) food in the following categories:

  • K-2
  • Grades 3-5
  • Grades 6-8
  • Grades 9-12

Winners will be notified by December 18. If chosen, your artwork will be on our MLK food drive flyers from January 4 – January 18, 2021.
