We’ll feast on seasonal favorites of turkey, candied yams, and roasted vegetables while being surrounded by loved ones at the dinner table. Joyous feelings will be shared and we’ll toast to good health and prosperity in 2022.
As we prepare to gather for warm festive meals, many people in our community are still struggling to feed their families on a daily basis. Those who are immunocompromised and high risk cannot safely leave their homes to get groceries. Others are continuing to grapple with economic uncertainty as many jobs have yet to return. Instead of making holiday plans, these families are wondering, will we have enough food tomorrow?
