AFAC grocery services are available to residents of Arlington County every week of the year! During the holiday season, registered AFAC clients receive a holiday hen in addition to the usual groceries.
All AFAC services require a referral, photo ID, and proof of residential address in Arlington.

Food distribution at Nelson in Shirlington will be canceled on Thanksgiving (Nov 25), Christmas Day (Dec 25), and New Years Day (Jan 1).
In addition to the usual groceries, AFAC provides one whole turkey to each pre-registered Arlington family the week before Thanksgiving: November 15 - 20, 2021.
Turkeys are 8 - 10 pounds and are distributed frozen.
*Thanksgiving turkeys are not available for walk-ins without a referral.
