Plot Against Hunger presents the 7th Annual Spring Garden Kick-off featuring speakers, knowledgeable practitioners, free seeds, and demonstrations of garden techniques. The kick-off is a great way to learn about how to start a garden for AFAC, how to donate produce to AFAC, and hear from community gardeners and others about lessons learned.
- Learn about AFAC’s Plot Against Hunger gardens in Arlington
- Join an AFAC garden team; sign up to help harvest bamboo for garden structures
- Learn from our community partners Arlington Friends of Urban Agriculture, Northern Virginia Master Gardeners, Virginia Cooperative Extension, and more!
Our keynote presenter for the Kick-off will be Hugo Mogollon, Executive Director of FreshFarm Markets. With its recent merger with Community Foodworks, FreshFarm is now the largest farmers’ market organization in the Mid-Atlantic region with 4 markets right here in Arlington that donate excess produce to AFAC!
Light refreshments will be available. All are welcome.
Please fill out the form below to RSVP (or click here).
